This is a timely thread for me. I'm looking at ordering a well-optioned 4 GTS and am willing to wait up to 9 months for delivery. Am I being unreasonable to expect an allocation at MSRP?

if you have a relationship MSRP shouldn’t be a problem . if you’re walking in off the street it’s a different story.. carl
FYI, I needed the car quickly and found a local dealership with one changeable allocation. Freeze point today January 20 for a late May delivery.
After calling my SA and speaking with the sales manager instead, it turns out the freeze point is actually February 28, still a May delivery.
It shouldn’t matter but the lack of clarity from my SA over the freeze point has me considering pulling out of the signed agreement and working with another dealership at MSRP for an approx. August/September delivery (which is what other local dealerships are quoting me).
Your SA lied to you in order to get a quick ADM sale. I would not trust this dealership or SA.

Not my experience! Seven Porsches and 3 Audis and 5 months after the demand order, 1st on list for Targa GTS, MSRP+ 20K. Sent letter and they said because of my legacy relationship it was 40K reduced to 20K. Who? Cherry Hill. I can reveal that because it is documented. That delayed my other demand orders but got on list at Flemington and Main Line in same area with no ADM and no relationship. Just got my allocation for April 15th delivery from Main Line. Those 2 dealers and SA's represent the brand well and are classy reps.
2022 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, ordered Jan. 02 at 25kilobuck$ over MSRP for June build; MIGHT be here in August.. I wasn't thrilled to agree to pay it, but I'll be thrilled to have it. 😊😊 From Porsche configurator.

I received my allocation on 11/4/21 and the freeze date was 3/4/22. But it’s now changed to 4/7/22 based on TYD. It’s subject to change again.
