MSRP on a Targa 4 GTS. I would love to feed my ego and act like I negotiated a great deal however that wasn't the scenario. After waiting 6 months on the C2S list and not moving at all when the dealer offered me the Targa 4 GTS at MSRP I said yes immediately; maybe even before he finished asking the question.

I ended up getting an April C2S allocation at MSRP, but I waited ~ 16 months for it. As has been pointed out, MSRP allocations are out there but you have to be patient.

It's a lot of smoke and mirrors. As I have said in a number of threads, most of the "I am not paying any ADM" and "Mine was MSRP" bla bla bla here all have some kind of story attached that they leave out (yes, there will always be some exceptions, but more often then not, a story of some type goes with it). Whether its add on purchases (watch, maintenance plan, extended warranty, PPF etc. etc). or a trade that the dealer made up for by not charging ADM, or financing requirements, or a long dealer history and the list goes on and on.

The best are the ones that chime in and say they paid MSRP or even got a discount and would never pay a penny over that made their msrp deal 2 or 3 years ago thus has zero bearing on todays market (trying to buy a 911 in June of 2023) nor are they even in the market to buy a car today, so real easy to say "only msrp for me". Also the ones that claim "my deal is for MSRP" but they leave out that they do not actually have the car or allocation yet and rather are only on a wait list.

Anyway, again, always will be exceptions and for those that can truly claim a clean zero strings MSRP deal that ordered their 992 in the past 6 months, we all congratulate you. However, overall in todays US market for any 911 trim the large majority of buyers lucky enough to get an allocation or happen to stumble onto new lot car or canceled special order that ends up on a dealers lot TODAY are paying some form cost over MSRP.

There were people who paid ADM . I debated a few of them two years ago right here . They told me I wouldn't get a car . I did get one but the ordeal was stressful . Some said that the ADM of 2022 will end up becoming the price increases of the future . They are right on that but the markups were as high as 35K tossed around as if it were nothing . I don't think k anyone is saying that these are easy times to buy a 911 . It actually has become easier to buy a CPO car though . There are markups on all the ones I see but one is paying for the convenience of not having to wait .

I paid ADM and not ashamed to admit it. Been driving my new "S" since late January before the price increase. Car was ordered 10-14-22 and arrived 1-27-23. No delays, TYD was right on target and nothing I ordered was on constraint or omitted from my order. I paid MSRP plus a reasonable ($15K) ADM to get it right away and to purchase it here in Florida so I could personally pick it up, this means a lot to me as I am super picky and very nervous to purchase a car this expensive and have it shipped to me sight-unseen. My salesperson, sales manager and finance guy were great and treated me with respect knowing I am in the same type of business (I have been with Honda motorcycles for 45 years). This was my first purchase from this dealership and I had no trade.

Paying MSRP for a 24 base in Northern California. Reached change freeze date in TYD and manufacturing should start soon

@Dimitar Atanasov Your bridge looks like a narrow pain in the ***. I presume that it's wider than it appears in the picture.

MSRP here for a C2. No strings attached. One prior PCar purchase from the dealer (Cayman). Took 6 months from demand to allocation. Believe it or not, received a call the the same day from another dealer with a S allocation with a 5K ADM and turned it down. Very happy with the the base and 20K savings.

Not sure why people care what other people paid for their cars.

All I care about is how much I paid.

On an airplane, do you turn to the person next to you (assuming not a companion) and ask how much they paid for their seat? Dollars to donuts it was not the same price you paid.

If they paid less, are you going to call the airline and ask for a refund? Maybe jump off the plane?

Just relax.

It's only money.

Buy the car, not the deal. Do the former and you'll never think about the money you spent; do the latter and you'll never enjoy the car.

It’s only natural for others to ask what people have paid to try and help them get a better a deal. It’s obviously not that easy with 911s for a number of reasons. And multiple threads on the same topic don’t help.

FWIW, I paid MSRP plus $2499 for full front PPF. I also realize the MN market isn’t like the other big city markets and probably isn’t comparable to those.
