I use normal for warm up but still don’t like what feels like lugging to me. After warm up I go to sport, may just start going to sport for warm up also. I disable auto start stop in normal.

Oddly I noticed my car warms up faster in Sport Manual/Auto than Normal Manual/Auto. Sport also maintains a lower fully warm temp.

I use Sport Manual now just because if you’re in auto and press the gas down too far, it will rev up past 4k rpm and I’d rather keep it under 4,000 until warm.

I don't like the throttle response in Normal mode. I only run it in Normal on the freeway at speed, otherwise it's sport mode. I have yet to set up a custom mode which will be Sport mode with Normal mode shock settings.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, at the end of the day that is all an of these posts are. To say that using normal and you get a 5s delay when you step on the gas pedal is an extreme exaggeration.

I wonder if cars with no Sports Chrono drive better in Normal than the S/C cars in normal mode!

Try normal with manual shifting (NEVER, EVER let PDK shift itself in Normal) then try it with Sport shock setting as well. No farting like in Sport mode and still tight and responsive. I can't describe how much I hate Sport mode in my 992...I only use Normal (as described) or Sport+. In 30,000 km of driving, I've left PDK in auto mode for maybe 10 minutes total.

I love normal mode. Ride is smooth, just cruise along, and I love the aggressive downshift to shoot forward like a rocketship (and i love the cross-comparison i get when I go to sports and sports+). I love sports mode too, but the car gets ridiculously fast without 'feeling' fast, which is a bummer
