Traffic sign recognition
Still fine tuning my Targa 4S build. My BMW X5 has speed limit sign recognition and displays the posted speed limit in the head up display. I really like this feature and hope it is available in the 911. I reviewed the standard equipment for the Targa 4S and don't see this feature listed. However, in the description for the "Lane Keep Assist (LKA) incl. Traffic Sign Recognition" option it describes the option as including "traffic sign recognition [that] uses a camera and navigation data to detect road signs, no overtaking zones (start and end), and infer local traffic codes (from boundary signs)." This suggests to me that this option can detect speed limit signs and post the speed limit somewhere in the instrument cluster (I know there is no HUD in the 911). BUT, this option also has a feature that "helps the driver to stay in lane by making corrective steering inputs..." I would absolutely hate this feature. Assuming this option has speed limit sign recognition, perhaps the corrective steering can be turned off while keeping the traffic sign recognition feature. Does this option detect speed limit signs (and display somewhere in the instrument cluster) and can the corrective steering be turned off? Is the the traffic sign recognition available in a different option? I am ordering active cruise control but don't see any description of traffic sign recognition in the description of that option.
I have LKA and speed limit signs are displayed. The lane keeping feature can be deactivated easily. I like it and find it it very unobtrusive, however. You can decide for yourself once you get the car. ACC is older technology than Innodrive, by the way, more like what you would find on a ten year old car. If you're trying to get away from self driving systems ACC is your choice.

I have Lane Keep Assist (LKA) incl. Traffic Sign Recognition on my 2020 C2S as well as a 2022 BMW X5 45e with the Advanced Driver Assistance package. The Porsche LKA is not nearly as noticeable/does not jerk the wheel when I change lanes without signaling as in the X5 which shocks me and passengers sometimes. I don't know if I have adjusted the strength of correction to do this or not - but on the 992 it's a gentle tug. Of course you can turn it off and still get speed limit information.
Related - the Porsche LKA obviously relies on both GPS mapping data as well as the cameras. I regularly drive on a new road (1 year old) that is still listed as "under construction" in the Porsche navigation system and the car is unable to read any of the very clear speed limit signs on that road and the car displays a warning about limited speed information when I *leave* the erroneously identified road. Just a quirk.

Yes, and as an added bonus (if you option the car with PID), when setting up the parameters for the PID, you can have it automatically adjust the speed of the car to the posted speed limit…and, when approaching an intersection with a stop sign, the car will automatically come to a full stop. Of course all this can be disabled, or you can disengage by the tap of the brakes, or override by pressing the gas.

I have LKA and appreciate it's additional warning capabilities. The klaxon-like warning sound is amusing, though I am often briefly confused about whether the LKA warning sound is just part of the music streaming over Sirius.
