Default Ride Height Question

Apologies if this is a dumb question.......will front lip clearance be lower on a car with 19/20 inch wheels than a 992 on the 20/21's ?

Should be essentially the same - with the 19/20 wheels the tire sidewall is taller. With the 20/21 wheels the tire sidewall is not as tall. So, overall, the wheel/tire circumference is essentially the same.

19" 26.4 diameter vs 20" 26.8 in, so about 0.2 lower than the optional wheel tire.

Well I’ll be damned, it is in fact 0.2” lower (as F8Driver calculated) with the 19/20 Winter setup than it was with my 20/21 Carrera Classics. That answers why I seem to have a higher frequency of scraping on my driveway now, when I didn’t before. I had naively assumed it actually rode the same, if not higher with the 19/20 Winter wheels…

I don’t have a before picture handy, but it measured 6” on the dot of ground clearance for the front lip with the 20/21’s on.

I wouldn't get too excited about the exact differences in height btw 20/21s vs 19/20s. Here's my Carrera S with 20/21s sitting at 5.75". I have found that there is a noticeable difference in front lip height, as well as the front wheel well gap between when my car has a full vs. empty tank of gas. I'm sure it's even more pronounced since I have the extended gas tank. I'm sure other factors like whether you have tires inflated to normal psi or for comfort with lower psi may also make a difference too:
