Spend $10 and buy a cheap Scan Tool. Let us know what (if any) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) are present.

This happened twice to me this week on my 2022 C2S. I would go for a drive and park for about an hour, and when I start the car, I get the engine control error warning message. Car seems to drive normally except, rev match seems to be inactive and the dash is showing the wrong gear (e.g. I shift into second and it's displaying 6th gear). If I turn off the car for 30 seconds and restart, engine fault goes away. Wondering if I should bring straight to the dealer or have my local independent look at it first.

Stop wondering, the car is under warranty...

Folks I am having the same problem where under load there is an engine control fault error popping with the car rattling. After restarting it goes away. Have been to the dealer twice and they are not able to figure out. Has this been finally resolved. I see several other threads with the same issue but no conclusion.

See post #27. Did you check the codes while the message was posted?

Thank you. The dealership seems to have identified this as a fuel injector replacement issue. Hoping that this fixes the problem.

Same repeated error for me too. Error code says cylinder 5 misfire.
