Would really like to know this as well. Have been looking for half a year and no full set of ceramic brake pads for a 992 S. I've seen some for a base Carrera though. On my M3, I have found that switching to ceramic brake pads cuts down brake dust by 95%+ and has no negative effects at all on braking, noise, brake feel, and actually lasts longer than organic brake pads. Still looking for a ceramic brake pad option for 992 S if anybody knows of one.

Are there any write ups on how to do the brake job for the 992?

If you’ll be swapping pads for tracking get a Caliper & brake bracket stud kit (Tarett) since they thread into aluminum and won’t hold up.

992 C2S Stud Sizes
Front 85mm
Rear 95 mm

I really like Ferodo DS3.12 as they are fantastic on the track, and seem to be a bit quieter than DS1.11 on the street. However, they do make noise and not a good option for only occasional track duty with no access to a garage. For your use I’d recommend Ferodo DS2500. I used these when I first started tracking, great on the street, okay on the track for beginner levels.

Any idea what is the part number for DS2500 rear brakes for 2021 Porsche C4S?

Second video, at about the 8:34 minute mark, gives a fairly good description of what causes brake squeal and how to prevent it (hopefully).

I’m going to post an answer to my own question just in case somebody else can use the intel. Apparently the rear pads are the same as the 991.1 GTS and also by default the 991.2. The fronts are different. So I can buy just the front Ferodo pads and save $500 👍🏻

Gotten a quote of $750 for OEM brake pads+sensors (~$373) + labor cost, is that reasonable?
I live in Manhattan and don't have a private garage to change myself.
My Indie in flyover country just charged $650 plus tax to do the rear brakes on my S class, beating the dealer by $50. That was for OEM rotors, pads and wear sensors. On the invoice the labor component was $200. So not quite 2x on labor in NYC? Based on what we spent when we used to go there 2-3 times a year, sounds like a steal 😂

What are the OEMs? Are they Brembo, TRW or Textar?
$373 sounds outrageous for a set of pads. I'm sure I'll be looking to FCP Euro for replacements when the time comes.
The Brembo front brakes are super easy to swap out if all you're doing is a pad slap. The rears you need to set the E brake in service mode. Not sure how to do that yet on this car.

No idea, I presume whatever that came with the factory 911 C4S? How much would that cost?

The stock pads are Pagid's from my C2S. Just replaced with Ferodo DS2500's.
