Default Leather Care

Got my brand new 911 with Truffle Brown club leather. Thoughts on conditioning the leather? What product if you do it.

Be careful as modern automotive leathers are treated and do not need conditioners as years past. Just wipe clean with a mild interior cleaner from several companies. You can go as far as to ceramic coat the leather but once on can’t be undone.

I was treated to the Porsche Techequipment Cleaning Kits at Christmas. Hellishly expensive but have to be trustworthy.

My car doesn't arrive for a few months so I cannot give you any feedback sorry.

Also, don't wear blue jeans. Truffle jeans are just fine.

Have had great experience with a leather coating such as CarPro's leather coating.

If you want a conditioner, I have had great experience with Swissvax. Expensive, but works well. Lots of my friends have used Zaino with great results too.

A quality product with proper cadence is the key. The rest is fluff.

I like Zaino Z10.

Aside from products, any tips on how to work around the lighter colored deviated stitching like chalk? Should I just apply the leather conditioner to the seat normally and not worry about trying to avoid the deviated stitching?

I have Shark Blue deviated stitching. The Z10 goes right over it. No effect on color. Do a small color-check spot on yours to confirm.

FWIW, I used Obenauf's LP to rejuvenate an old leather jacket of mine (worked great). When researching products, Obenauf recommended using the LP to coat/condition stitching as well. My CPO GT4 w/30k miles, and a busted stitch on the driver's side bolster when I bought it.
