I'm sure it's not good for some reason or other, but I have recently fallen in love with the Griot's 3-in-1 leather care product.

Well, you really don't want an all-in-one product. You have to get the dirt and oils off first. Otherwise, you are conditioning and sealing over dirt. Just an FYI

What I'm most impressed with is the job it does cleaning the leather. Used it to remove sunscreen stain from red leather in a 89 Cadillac, and it worked beautifully. No luck on that same stain with Zymol.

Do you recommend treating the seats with any protectant when you first get the car? If so, what is your product of choice?

Drew, the products he recommends are in the thread I posted above.

Would you only need step 3 for the first application to a new car or is it like paint correction where you should clean and condition first?

I coated all the new leather in my GT3 with the Zaino Z10. I did not use any cleaner on the new leather.

I personally like chamberlain leather milk, no. 1.

I did a full ceramic coating on the outside and inside. I was not sold on interior until I had another car done with it, it certainly cleans up easily and no need for product (outside a nice damp cloth) to clean up. The interior stays looking cleaner longer (outside of vacuuming the carpets) I typically only need to do a interior wipe down about every 3rd cleaning. On my cars without it, the amount of dust and dirt that is on the dash (as an example), etc. is 3X the amount it seems.
