At about 12k miles the backrest on my 4 way sport plus seats started squeaking. Tried different positions but it still made a lot of noise. Took it to the dealer and they have had the car for several days. They hope to figure it out next week. I’ll update on what they find.
I have found most dealers send issues with seats and convertible tops out to specialty upholstery shops. You may want to call them and see is that is their plan, I have a feeling your car is simply parked because they can't find anyone that can chase a seat squeak.
I noticed an occasional squeaking from low on my drivers seat.
I found that raising my butt a bit off the seat cushion when I was flatulent seems to have solved the problem.
I have a 2022 Carrera S with just over 1K miles, 18 way seats, black leather, took delivery in Dec 2021; just noticed seat squeaks on uneven surfaces at lower speeds; if I move seat bottom or backrest a bit higher/lower, squeaks stop for a while, but they eventually return. Has anyone found the source of these squeaks, is it in a hinge that can be lubricated, or just new leather breaking in? I doubt these modern seats have springs inside, just foam and in my case heating elements and the seat cooling mechanism, so rather complicated seats, but we have a 2019 Macan with 18 way seats, nearly 20K miles, never any squeaks at all in those seats! Thanks for any help or suggestions.
I'm in the leather upholstery business and when we get a "squeak" in a piece it is always a metal-on-metal contact point. Leather used in a Porsche won't make a squeak (some "saddle" leather do that we classify as pull-ups, but they are not used in auto interiors). It doesn't take much for a metal-on-metal squeak to occur, it can be just a slight brush together of the parts. No way to really chase it other than pulling the seat out, removing the cover and foams to look at the metals to see if they can isolate the contact points. Most likely a warranty item, and your dealer will usually farm that job out to his local auto upholstery place as their service dept is not well equipped to deal with that in house.
Thanks drcollie, your reply makes sense, so I can eliminate the leather per se as a source of the squeaks. The metal on metal source sounds credible as well from the standpoint that when I raise/lower seat a bit the noise goes away temporarily, due to the metal “hinges” or whatever is inside the seats changing location temporarily. I would imagine that since these are inside the seat, they are designed to be “self lubricating” or at least not a source of metal squeaks, and am hoping that with more miles the squeaks will eventually go away; if not, your suggestion of dealer first (as warranty issue) who will likely outsource it to an upholstery shop makes sense. I will advise if I get a resolution, or it just “goes away”. Thanks again.
That would be annoying on a brand new car, if it were older and out of warranty, I would say pull the seat out of the vehicle, flip it upside down and get a can of WD40 and start hitting all the metal contact points from the bottom, but you don't want to do that on a brand new ride. Good luck!
The squeaking on my 991.2 GTS turned out to be the plastic seat backs rubbing the leather center console. I bought a sheet of stick on leather from amazon, cut it to size, and stuck it on the plastic back of the seat. Never heard another sound.
Reviving an old one here. 2022 C2s with 4way sport seat plus. Drivers seat squeaks quite badly. I'm 5'11" , 165 so trying to rule out myself as a variable. Strange thing is there are very few, if any, other threads on this issue. Maybe I'm an isolated case. Regardless, anyone else having the issue that has never posted? Next step is to remove the seat (no way I'm letting someone else pull it) and look around.

My dealer was able to stop the squeak with some “adjustments”. The service writer indicated that if it came back they would likely replace the seat.
