Default Better MT shift ****?

Love my MT C2S but the plastic top of the shift **** is annoying me with its cheapness. Anybody find something they like better than the cheap OEM ****? The Function First product looks interesting.

The shift **** you uncovered seems like an improvement over the Porsche **** to me.

That plastic cap feels annoyingly cheap. Does yours have a bit of play such that it clicks if you just put your palm on it and move around a bit? I'm looking for a leather non-ball shaped ****. I want a more traditional feeling shift **** that provides a bit more grip and doesn't feel like a cheap joystick.

Mine has just enough play to not let me forget it’s a cheap piece of plastic, but not enough to make me think that “fixing” it would solve the problem.

I had a Function First in my .2 GT3.

Loved it- makes a big difference in feel. Just be aware that the aluminum **** in cold weather can get very cold.

Agree, I had one in my 991.2 and did not like the feel of it.

The shift **** from the 991 R is fantastic but would work best with a carbon fiber interior (as it is in carbon fiber). It can be purchased on Suncoast for about $1,000. Not cheap, but it is a huge visual upgrade (in a 991.2 Touring) and feels fantastic in the hand. Chris Harris recently mentioned how he has to change out the factory shifter (as it breaks) in his Touring every 10,000 miles or so. I am 17,000 in and the R shifter looks and feels as good as new. In other words, long term, not only will it look better, it may actually pay for itself.

Why didn't Porsche did a better job than a plastic feeling ****?, I mean it is after all the most used thing in a MT car might as well make it the best

992 gt3 shift **** looks nice, but would have to change the sticker so it shows the gears correctly
