My SA told me not to do it. It's all outsourced to random third party providers and is hit or miss in terms of quality and film used.

I would only do the factory PPF if I was doing European delivery. Better to do a paint correction, partial PPF and ceramic as a package. My cost for all three was about the same as the factory cost for only partial PPF.

I opted for the factory PPF.

I don't know what film they use but they did a much better job than an Xpel vendor did on my 991.2. I think the dealers discourage the factory PPF because they get a % if you install Xpel through dealer.

That's pretty much why I ask. I'm planning (hoping) for a summer euro delivery...

I did it. Happy with the result. No clue what film was used.

Just had mine pulled off a couple weeks ago when getting ceramic coated. It was beginning to lift in several spots and looked terrible. Ill roll the dice without it..

There’s really no reason to do Porsche factory PPF unless you’re doing ED.

But then with Covid, I think your front fascia might be the least of your worries if you’re doing ED.

Had 992 C2S wrapped by the same shop and that the dealer and independent repair shops use and pocketed the difference. Very happy with the results and they stand behind their work. Shopped around and spoke with three shops before going with this one.

PCA has an hour long video which dispels some of the myths concerning PPF, Vinyl and Ceramic Coating.
Hope this link works
