Targa GTS Build - Feedback Welcomed
#16
Do you live in a different NY/NJ than I do? lol. I thought a heated steering wheel was a silly thing until it came bundled on my wife's X5. Now I love it on a cold morning or after my car has been sitting outside at work for a while.
Re: leather / racetext - the racetex is part of the GTS's look and I get why people feel strongly about not skipping it, but it isn't for me. My parents have had two Cayenne GTSs that I spent a good amount of time driving. The first had alcantara and the second leather. The alcantara (racetex) wore pretty poorly in their case and made getting into and out of the car a pain as you really can't slide into the seats at all, especially with a coat on. I do like the alcantara on the headliner of my 991 and added it in racetex to my 992 order as it is now optional.

I'm in a similar boat to you (and on a remarkably similar timeline), but I am tied to the city for work, so a relocation isn't possible for me.

Okay so taking in all the commentary, I think I've tweaked the build to where I feel very comfortable with it. Added some more carbon fiber, did the dials in white, added Porsche crests to backrest, added the Burmester sound, changed the sideskirts to matte black and removed the LED headlights.

I think it's done. Very thankful for all the feedback it was very helpful!

Retiring to Hawaii -- what a fabulous idea. Car looks great; green is growing on me, lately, though I'd go carmine on this one, in HI. Something about a red 911 driving through the mountains of Hawaii that just feels right.
Guy Fieri has done a number of shows from there, lately. You're going to eat well, though perhaps not as well as in NYC.

Have you seen this - https://circuithawaii.com?
Might want to build something slightly more track oriented after all.
