Default 992 Carbon wheel

Wondering if someone can send some up close and personal pictures of the carbon fiber steering wheel preferred with race-tex but doesn't really matter

i have it on my GTS build
want to see if the carbon continues on the inside of the wheel or is it just the outer shell

Just the outer shell of the spokes.

do you have the wheel for some pictures ?

ive seen db carbon makes some carbon for the inside and the little part on the bottom
if any has a picture of it installed that would be great
might not even be visible

thank you those shots are exactly what i wanted to see
wanted to see the bottom spoke has it on the both sides inside and out
guess the db carbon upgrade isn't really needed maybe just for the little plastic piece on the bottom

I wouldn't bother with db Carbon - it's still just a shell like OEM. A full carbon spoked wheel would be crazy expensive.

I actually have a DB Carbon Steering Wheel Trim sitting in my office which I have not installed yet.
When putting my build together I ALMOST bought the stock wheel in carbon.... until I realized that the airbag surround is black plastic as shown in the pics above.

DB Carbon's version has that surround in Carbon.

They also give you the option to have the riveted inserts black (like stock) or change out those inserts to carbon.
I'm not sure if they can do the inserts with the rivets or not, but I'm sure they could if you asked.

The cost for what I wanted was actually less than the stock wheel - and I have more carbon.

I don't have any plans to install in the near term so not going to keep you waiting

... but here's a pic to show you what I mean about the surround so that you can envision that piece of some of the pics above.

I have the same elements under "General" view as you do. What is more interesting is that you have the FUEL gauge taking a spot even though a large FUEL gauge is to the right. The reason I can't use that spot for the boost gauge is that I need to see my fuel level and the actual gauge is not visible (as in your picture).

Yet purists defend it as being obscured since time immemorial. They could remedy at least that item by mounting it above replacing the large General overview lettering as in the Macan. A bad ergonomic design is a bad design whether from this year or 30 years ago. Perpetuating this doesn't make it any more useful or good. I think this demonstrates it perfectly.

I did not... I actually like the contrasting matte black inserts/riveted sections, and felt the same way about the chrono switch.
But I'm sure that would look great as well!

DB Carbon can do just about anything you want. If they can get the stock part, they cover it in CF to match and the fitment is essentially guaranteed.

Edit: They could probably even do the rear plastic of the steering wheel if you wanted that in carbon too... just need to ask Daniel

Installation of the DB carbon's version? Simple or Complicated?

I have not done it yet - but here's a video of a Taycan that has essentially the same wheel - they are doing a complete conversion so you don't need to do remove everything like they do, but it looks pretty straightforward.
Unfortunately, they speed through the trim removal, but you get the gist.
