It seems Porsche has found a way to make all their higher end 911 variants $15K more expensive without raising the price. If you believe the internet, all GTS and above cars owners specify and pay for PTS paint.

I don't understand what this means. GTS and above carry PTS?

" Porsche noted that it will soon be able to churn out about 20 paint-to-sample 911 models per day, up from five before the expansion. And, it added that selecting a paint-to-sample color does not increase the amount of time needed to build a car."

4x growth in PTS throughput should drastically reduce PTS order times.... so thats good news.

PTS does seem a lot more common. In my dealership (other than my car) I know of at least one other TTS and a Touring that are going PTS. On some of the higher end models, budget becomes less of a concern - ie there is no anxiety about spending $12k on paint that could otherwise go toward switching to a higher tier model.

Loads of Turbos and GTS' will end up the PTS route now. A good portion of GT3's were already PTS in previous generations.

No kidding.

It seems very well done. At least based on Oak Green Metallic, the render looks pretty close to the real color.
