I was wondering if anyone has taken delivery of a manual transmission 2022 Carrera S yet? Apparently the GTS allows separation of auto rev match from the different drive modes/PSM (not able too in 20/21). I have been unable to confirm if this is a GTS specific option or a PCM 6.0 change that would also apply to the 22 Carrera S. I am eagerly anticipating my C2S delivery and am hopeful this is not specific to the GTS model. TIA
I’d say this is the experience of the vast majority of MT owners.
Exactly, it's not like Porsche screwed this up. People are not used to it. It's not active in Normal mode, but for Sport and Sport + when you are driving the car harder it is there to better performance. You wouldn't look to turn off Torque Vectoring or Active Suspension Management or go back to the days of the Blue to Red dial for cool and heat and 3 fan speeds. Pretty sure we like automatic climate control.

Funny you mention this. My bridge car as many know is a 2002 BMW M5 -- as an aside, it's effing awesome -- man these things were (are!) fun.
Anyway, BMW did a thing back in the late 90s (? maybe earler) where in addition to the automatic climate control, you had a wheel on the dash to fine tune the system. Sort of a 'feels like'. So whereas I leave the climate at 71 degrees, there are times I'm either cold or hot, depending on prior physical activity, or outside conditions, etc.
The M5 has it and I wind up fine tuning more than half the time I get in the car. It's great. It's basically the old red/blue -- but layers itself over (and goes as far as overriding) the set temperatue. This is considerably better than today's automatic, car knows better than you, approach.
My SA talked to his regional manager, and he said that the rev match can now be defeated in all modes in all manual 992s. This way, if you want it, you use it; if you don't you can turn it off. Finally! How could having a choice be a problem? It can't be deactivated on my Mini, and it continues to annoy me after 6 years. I've never used auto blip on my Spyder and take great pleasure in H-Ting myself. If I wasn't able to deactivate it in all modes of a 992, it would seriously detract from my driving enjoyment. I just hope it doesn't default back to active with every startup. That's yet to be determined...

Given that you can't start the car in Sport mode as a default, I would hazard that it returns to default at every start. But if you can truly disable it, the simple answer is to develop an individual mode setting that incorporates Sport or Sport + along with the desired Suspension (if PASM Sport is on the car) along with disabling the Rev Match. Then just turn it on to Individual via the dial.
Just wanted to bump this back up….reached out to a couple of owners that have taken delivery of ‘22 Manual cars and they were nice enough to look into it on their cars. None of them were able to find an option to separate rev match from the modes with the new PCM. It appears (at this point) that this was kept as a GTS only option. Perhaps this will be an easily “code-able” option in the future but a bit disappointing on Porsches part to leave this out from the non-GTS cars.

I took delivery earlier this week on my Manual Targa 4S and couldn't find any options in the PCM that can disable Rev Matching in sport/sport +. I only spent about 30-40 minutes setting everything up, so maybe haven't found where this is possible.. However it was not apparent anywhere I would have suspected it to be (specifically in the drive setup screens where you can set up sport, auto start stop, etc. etc.))
Here is a question that I have not seen asked: is there a way to program auto rev match with the normal mode, perhaps via an “individual’ setting?
If you program the individual mode with Sport/Sport+ selected Auto Rev Match will be enabled. So if you were to program individual mode in Normal, you effectively have just the normal mode. So no it will not be any different than normal (minus if you select sports exhaust).
