Looks like most of you all are going with the CL wheels. I do love them but I’m nervous about how much a PITA CLs can be. Am I just being overly paranoid?

Great build. Have you considered going with the black calipers?

Thanks! I went back and forth with so many aspects in the configurator (like many, I have a love/hate relationship with it because of all the nonstop option tweaking!) and was really torn between Aventurine Green vs. Gentian Blue…but once I committed to the AG, I was able to dial in the rest of the config around it. Now all I have to do is wait until my build lock in Feb ‘22 and stay away from the configurator so I don’t get tempted to re-tweak!

No, I actually like the pop of red so I haven’t considered the black calipers.

I feel ya. I am having trouble with color. Go with what I have and chalk build or get black car drop the black exterior package, add CF roof and gts interior

I amworried with chalk and black exterior package that front lip is painted black and for sure will get scrapped

Then again I don’t like the semi gloss trim looks like plastic everywhere

And there’s my dilemma LOL

Probably. In 5 years, I never had the need to swap the rims on my 2017, which also had CLs. I don't anticipate that changing in the future.

It depends on a couple things: 1) do you track your car enough so that you anticipate needing to pull the wheels to swap brake pads/etc? If so , CL can be a pain - unless you have the right equipment and know the process. 2) do you have porsche service options close to you, so that if you have a flat, someone can flatbad your car to the service center? If not, you'll need to find a local place that has the equipment and knowledge to swap center locks.

Honestly, this is what is scaring me off of the CLs. I go to VT most weekends and I am worried that if I get a flat up there, I will have trouble finding anyone that can help. I assume the lock tool is in the car? How hard is it really to change out the wheel? I guess in any event, I am getting flatbedded since there is no spare.

The CL nut is in the frunk -- but it's worthless without a torque bar and, frankly, a friend, but neither is going to help unless you also have a spare wheel.

You do have the flat fixing gunk and a pump; worst case scenario, you use that to limp to whatever is closest.

Just figure out the closest dealership in VT, and be prepared to pay for the flatbed.
