Default Soul Competition Performance Exhaust System

Okay, I purchased the Soul Competition Performance Exhaust System. This is the decatted version of the exhaust.
I am on track alot, so the main purpose was to maximize the 992 Carrera S platform for that purpose. Thankfully, I have another vehicle
that I use for most of my daily driving.

That said, I'm curious to see just how loud it really will be and what the tone is like as well (meaning, the character of the sound).

Anyone else have experience with this particular exhaust?

I had their high-flow cats on my previous 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS and loved them.

As always, it's great dealing with the guys at Soul over the phone.

Anyhow, enjoy your new exhaust and please share your experiences

Oh, just curious to see what others experienced. This isn't a confirmation bias situation. I'm happy I got it. I'm just desperate for more tone.
I'm used to loud cars, so the increase in volume isn't a concern for me. However, looking for personal experiences, since videos never seem to give us the real sound.
Never hear people mention this particular exhaust, so reviews are hard to come by (unless I've missed one in the forums).

I jumped in with both feet, based on my previous experiences with Soul.

I'll be waiting 6 weeks until it's made, so I have a while.

Think asking in a forum which exhaust is “louder” or “sounds better” is a fruitless pursuit. That’s all individual taste. YouTube and cell phones don’t capture an of it adequately either. Hope you are enjoying the decision. How bad could it be!

Here are some thoughts on both the 200 cell and catless version. I lived with both. The 200 cell is a bit more civil. The catless has a nice sound, a lot of people liked it. It's probably right on that edge for most on a daily commute type deal but for weekend fun/track days, it's not too loud.

It truly boils down to personal preference, as both options have their own distinct sound characteristics. In my personal opinion, I lean towards the catted version, primarily because it produces a more refined sound.

+ the smell of catless exhaust. I could not get my wife to even get into a car that is catless because of it.

Absolutely, that's a crucial point, one of the main reasons people opt for catted over catless.

The competition exhaust is a lot quieter of a Carrera than on a Turbo. Of all the exhausts that are available it is the one that will provide the loudest rumble of all the aftermarket exhausts. Most of the other aftermarket exhaust systems are designed to work with the factory cats so they are all restricted to the factory size piping so that it mates up. The Soul exhaust piping is a lot larger and that is why it is sold with a cat. This exhaust would come nowhere near bolting up to a stock cat. If you are looking for pure noise, this is the exhaust for you.

It is not our best selling exhaust because most of our customers are not looking for such a loud exhaust but for those who are, this is the answer for you. The exhaust valves are eliminated so it is loud all the time.

If you have any questions regarding this or any of the other exhausts that are available for this car please feel free to reach out to us.
