The stopgap M5 I'm driving around came with blingy HREs and they've really grown on me. Usually I'd look for something more P101/FI-ish.

Looking forward to pics w the new shoes. I assume the lead time is in months?
BBS FI-R would have been my ideal choice. Sadly this was not available. I’ve heard they are coming out with a version 2 of the FI-R, but knowing BBS it will take 10 years to come to market. They make great wheels, but their pre-COVID wait times were 6 months.

The HRE is supposed to be a 3 month wait. In the old days, HRE was on a 6 week turnaround. I ordered my wheels in August so it should be here soon….we’ll see.

We've asked Volk/Rays numerous times about potential of 992 fitments down the road and it looks extremely unlikely.

What you could do is order a set of HRE C105's (5-spoke) or C106's (6-Spoke) and have it built in 992 specific fitments. If you have the center face, barrel, and assembly bolts all in the same finish it will look like a 1-piece JDM wheel but with better quality.

Thanks - you are right, that gets close. Can they do those without the bolts running around the edges? Also, better quality over rays is debatable, but prob not worth the time.

EDIT: what about Advan GT Premium? Also, this is prob not the right place for this convo. lol.

@rk-d I've told you many times already but I can't it it enough - this car and color combo is special.

I'll give you a shout when the car is closer to delivery. Looking like April for now. In the meantime, please keep me in mind when new options become available. Thx.
