Advice on build
Thanks detansinn for the insight on Sport Chrono and the interior.
Mr Bean, good to know about the full leather interior, I'll try to take a look at that in person also.
Does the extended range fuel tank mean there's less luggage space in the frunk?
Chief F1 Fan, you are suggesting to ditch the crest on the headrest? Or model designation on the armrest? (Or both!)
tgcrun, oh you are right, the rims in the third pictures are centre locks, so they aren't the Carrera Classic Wheels - they otherwise seemed so similar to me. Interesting point on the body coloured model designation.

The smoking package is worthless. There is already a power jack in the passenger footwell for radar detectors, etc. The standard cupholder also includes a cubbyhole option that can be inserted instead. I use the cubbyhole insert because if you put anything taller than a soda can in the cupholder insert it really interferes with manual shifting. No interference with the PDK selector (shaver).
- You're missing Sport Chrono. It gives you additional driving modes, a selector on the wheel, sport response button, and launch control. A modern 911 without Sport Chrono is an inferior car compared to a 911 with Sport Chrono. If you spec just one option, that option should be Sport Chrono.
- The factory option PPF is inferior to the aftermarket solutions, cut to look like crap, and doesn't wear very well. There's no reason to go that route. Period. Skip it and spend your $3k on Sport Chrono. See above.
- If you're trying to save money on this build skip all of this stuff... $1745 of nonsense
- Window Trim, $450
- Model designation in exterior color, $365
- Colored Wheel crests, $220 (I love 'em and have them)
- Armrest with model designation, $380
- Headrest crests. $330
- With the money that you save deleting even some of the above, upgrade your seats to the Sport Seats Plus (4 way)
- You can always get upgraded wheels later, but you can't do anything about the interior after the sale. Put the wheel money and above savings towards the Leather Mojave interior. You spend your time sitting in the car -- make it a nice place to be. The standard interior has no business in a $130k car.
Or better yet, ditch the Base and get an S and forgo all the non-performance options like headcrest, model designations etc. Because you’re going to get all the performance options that @detansinn suggested will be included in the S.
Listen to this man.

its good to know I just bought an inferior 911 because I didn't get the sports chrono...
Chrono
Leather
Ventilated Seats
Those were my 3 main base selections....
My next four selections were icing on cake, but could have gotten away without.
Color
Bose
Wheels
Quad pipes (900 bucks, middle ground between nothing and PSE)

Thanks again everyone for the insight.
I have decided to go with PPF through the dealer instead of the factory option, to make sure it goes all the way around the edges. I also removed the smoking package (since it has nothing to do with whether or not I'd get a cupholder).
I now have a deposit down, and I am waiting for an allocation! So I could still make changes to the specification, but as of right now I have still included the other options such as sports exhaust and interior/exterior touches.
I haven't gone for the full leather, sports plus seats, sport chrono, extended range fuel tank, etc. That said, I appreciate your insights and bringing those to my attention. I'll hopefully experience the different interiors and seats in person, and possibly change my mind, before before the time comes to lock in the build.
