Default Wrong tires on delivery?

I swapped out my summers for winters today, and now that I’ve had the chance to see the tires not on the car, I noticed that I have what I think are drivers side tires on both sides of the car.

The drivers side tires direct water away from the car (which I think is right) while the passenger side tires direct water into the car.

Does this look wrong or right to anyone else?

Tires are arranged as they were on the car

Look at the sidewall and see where the “outside” label is. Then you will have your answer

Tires usually have outside printed on them.

They should show a rotation direction too.

Each of the tires has “outside” on the outside, but there is no clear rotation direction on the Goodyears the way there is on the Michelin Alpin 5s that I just put on. If I’m right that they gave me all drivers side tires, they would all say “outside” on the outside but would be channeling water the wrong way, which is what I indicated in the pictures

The Goodyear's are non-directional - same as Pirelli's
Can be mounted on either side of car as long as "outside" correct palcement

thats interesting as there does appear to be a clear "direction" to the tread but not sure what difference it would really make.

My car has Goodyears also. All four tires show "outside" on the outside. The tires are also marked "Asymmetrical" which in tire is defined as:

Asymmetrical tires are designed to enhance traction, handling, and cornering capabilities while reducing noise. These tires are often found on sport performance vehicles. The tires can rotate in either direction when mounted with the correct side facing out, as indicated on the tire sidewall.

You are good to go.

p.s. My last five 911's have had Pirellis, I think the Goodyears are a much nicer street tire.

Not surprising, considering they setup brake rotors in the wrong way. They did that to several cars early in production, which yielded a TSA bulletin. People got new rotors and pads.

There is no such thing as a driver side and passenger side tire. A tire either has a symmetrical or asymmetric tread pattern.

Didn't the original Acura NSX have asymmetric, uni-directional front and rear tires?

Thanks, all. Seems like even though there is a clear direction to the tread pattern that it can rotate either way. Crisis averted, though still confused. Appreciate all the help!

I seem to remember a different part number for each of those tires, 4 in total.
