Is this the check engine light?
This light just came on today. I washed my car and started the car again and this light came on. Had my car for 3 months.
don’t think washing the car had anything to do with it.
do I wait or take it to the dealer to look at?

Oh boy.....you too I guess! What is the year and model?
Mine has come on repeatedly. Start with the gas cap but likely it will be a small leak in your fuel line and will likely require them going to your engine and replacing the tank vent valve.

I had that during my first month of ownership. I brought it back to dealer and they found the gas tank vent valve sensor was faulty and replaced it. No issue since then.
There was another thread in the forum that described the same issue as well.

This is an important light to know & understand. Also keep in mind:
1) Illuminated CEL= ok to drive on, get code read ASAP. Get resolved.
2) Blinking CEL= as safely & as quickly as possible, get car to safe place, shut off engine, call 800-PORSCHE and wait for flatbed

What I learned from previous experience is I always ask that they take pictures right before they take off the part, what it looks like after the parts are removed and then on reassembly. Porsche took those pictures for me and sent them to me.
