Default Interior trim

I am considering adding an interior trim option on my build, which is scheduled to lock mid-November. I'd appreciate opinions, especially from owners or aspirants who have had or are having the same thought. I'm currently specifying Aventurine Green for my build, with truffle leather. If you have any of the Interior trim options on your 911, (leather, aluminum, exterior color), photos would be much appreciated.

The standard trim is my favorite, because it has the same texture as the switchgear. It’s a touch surface when you use the PCM. You can rest your hand on it and it’s nice not to leave finger prints.

As for the other options… IMHO
  • Aluminum doesn’t look as nice as the standard, because it loses the texture.
  • Carbon fiber is kind of played out.
  • I liked the exterior color in the 991 interior, but don’t care for it in the 992.
  • Wood looks good, though it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I also debated trim and am doing truffle…someone posted a pic that showed truffle with standard trim and I thought it looked great. I like the wood but at $1.9K wanted to spend elsewhere (went with 930 leather package). My car arrives in Jan.

Truffle and wood is a natural fit, but I’m biased.

I agree but I like that the standard trim breaks up the brown. The fact that you can customize a 911 to this detail is what makes it so fun.

With Truffle, Paldao trim and inserts in sport seat backs.
It's only (your) money.

I have the wood with the grey leather. My wife and I like it a lot. As others say, wood is not for everyone but we wanted something leaning towards the luxury side of the equation vs the sporty side. Personally I love the idea of Aventurine Green with truffle and the wood trim. I bet it will look rich and luxurious. I’m a huge fan of Aventurine green and wish we had ordered our C2 in that color. Granted it ain’t cheap but neither is the carbon fiber, etc.

Having just traded in my 2021 for a 2022 both with black interior, one standard and the other full leather my observation is:

while I like the standard trim, on full black interior, leather or standard, bright trim option lessened that dark cave feel. With any other interior color than black, the standard trim is more than acceptable.

Interesting, helpful comments from all respondents (so far!). boutrosa, any pictures of your interior? detansinn, your comment regarding 'interior trim in exterior color' preference on 991 vs 992 is intriguing. Care to expand?

I spec'd the wood trim with Aventurine/ truffle w/chalk (I like real wood trim interiors). I also added chalk seatbelts. upgraded aluminum door sills and aluminum pedals to contrast the brown a bit

I am still waffling on the interior trim . Since I have Aventurine Green as my exterior color choice at the moment, and the standard interior trim seems to suit the exterior color, maybe just leave it standard? My build, (with Truffle Brown) does include seat belts and tach in Racing Yellow. If I were to choose an exterior color like Guards Red or say, Chalk, (both still in the running!), I've been considering interior trim in exterior color. Help, I think Im suffering from 'configuration syndrome'!
