Default Shark Blue = Cornflower ??

Contemplating with Shark Blue for my build and heard that it’s the same as VW Cornflower. Stopped by VW and saw Cornflower on a Taos and also same color in a parking garage the other day.

Not sure if it’s just the color on those vehicles but it did not look like it had as much depth or rich as in the photos and videos of the 911. May switch back to GT silver. Has anyone seen Shark Blue in person yet and can confirm it looks better then how the color looks on the VW?

It’s the same damn color.

If you get Shark Blue thinking it’s a Porsche color you’ve drunk deeply from the AP Kool-Aid cooler. And swallowed hard.

Just pony up for PTS and get Oslo Blue. Problem solved.

Photos are misleading. Processing will alter the color, sometimes dramatically. Trust what you saw in real life.

To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. The day before I saw a GTI in Cornflower in a parking garage and was not what I expected. Drove out to a dealer to check out the Taos in day light. Was better in sunlight but for some reason it didn’t seem to look the same as the photos I’ve seen of the GT3.

I agree it's a beautiful color. And who cares if it is also on VW's. The problem I have is that Porsche charges $3200 for what VW buyers get as standard.

was this in Atlanta
I drove by a vw dealership in Atlanta 2 days ago and saw one of their SUV in Shark blue/Cornflower. It did not look good to me
obviously shape of car , trims , make a difference , but color was bla ,
I am glad I saw it in person and have eliminated it as a potential color on my GT3

I was set on Shark Blue after seeing it in photos and then I ordered the insulated mug Porsche has in Shark Blue and a spray can of the color to see how it looked on a speed form. I love blue, but this particular shade isn’t for me.

I saw it on two VW Polos within the space of 30 seconds over the weekend. It reminded me of one of my son's lego bricks. It was a very plastic-looking blue. And I'm someone who really wanted to like this color!

I feel like begging Porsche to bring Neptune Blue to the 992.

The worst part is how they tried to claim the designer was inspired to create the color based on some yacht he saw...

I think it looks great on the GT3 with the spoiler and hood, but I don't really like it on the regular 992 models.
