Default Low gas mileage C2S

I’ve been getting 14mpg city/highway mix and mostly in Normal driving mode the last couple of months.

When I got my car (used 2020 C2S with 3k miles in December ‘20) I was getting around 16+… only thing that’s changed is using the AC a lot more because of the ~100F heat in Texas, and recently installed Sprint P08 performance air filters.

Anyone else getting lower mpg?

I haven’t changed my driving style, I’m pretty conservative (I know shame on me) as a daily driver, I actually tried to drive even more conservatively on the last tank to see if I could get back to 16ish but I couldn’t.

btw I’m in Dallas too, we should meet up lol.

I'd get it on a scope and see what's going on.

This is a not an unusual state of affairs with my C2.

What a car.

Is your 992 a PDK or manual? Gas mileage with the manual transmission tends to run much lower than the PDK which upshifts a lot more than I do.
My 2S manual mileage can be great on the highway ( 30+ is usual at 75 mph) but terrible on short blasts (10-15 is not uncommon) .

It’s PDK

My total tank (I don’t have extended tank option) goes up to around 200ish miles before empty, so my numbers are just coming from miles driven / gallons filled, not from the car info itself which I don’t know why i didn’t bother checking on there lol, but yea it still sucks to be this low.

It’s at the dealer now for PCM/gps issues so I’ve told them to look at this as well.

992 C4S with PDK
The highest that I have seen is 28MPG (indicating 480 mile range on the dash).
More typically, I see 24MPG on the highway and 18MPG (or less) when I am blasting on the backroads, driving like an a$$hole. It's quite good on gas.

UK vs. US gallons, just as a BTW. So deduct 20% from that number for the equivalent US figure.

Over 7,000 miles I'm on 17.2 mpg, mainly urban mix of surface roads and freeways around SoCal.

This is all urban miles since last fill-up...lots of blasts to redline from on-ramps into traffic, and generally running the car with "verve." Always, ALWAYS in manual mode and using a lot of revs, a mix of normal and Sport+ (never use Sport mode due to ridiculous farting). I don't consider this kind of gas mileage in the city unusual or problematic as it's in the range of 8 mpg to 14 mpg I've seen the last decade or so on another 911, a Cayman S, M3 and AMG. It gets a bunch better on the highway in the 992 - into the high 20s MPG - even though I rarely use 8th gear (it drones a bit in 8th under 140 km/hr). Over a longer timeframe, the MPG would look better as my wife uses the car as well, but she's always in Sport+ and driving pretty briskly...probably closer to 12 mpg, I'd guess

Yes, this is U.S. mpg. Uh-huh, uses a lot of gas. No, not a problem at all... I'm certain the car is operating within design parameters <g>

Its a PDK.

It can drop below 25 (UK gallons).

I did get 9mpg on the track in one last year.

This car has never been on the track.

I generally see 18mpg in my C2S MT, but had to make a round-trip down to southern NJ yesterday evening and saw 30 mpg for the first time…similar to my daughter’s Kia!! Don’t know how they do it but I love that this car has multiple personalities…
