Default “Speed limit display limited” warning?

To add to the crappy Porsche PCM issues… I’ve started to get this warning most of the time I drive for the past week now, along with my homelink also not detecting my garage/home anymore.

Anyone else run into this? This has never happened before and the car hasn't had any changes/updates. I haven’t really done anything to diagnose it.

2020 C2S with 6k miles.

If this is a recurring warning and not very intermittent then it may be a legitimate sensor fault (unlike HomeLink GPS, which is a known PCM issue). First try cleaning your windshield so the camera can read traffic signs. From the manual:

Speed limit display is temporarily unavailable due to weather conditions or dirt on the windscreen.
  • Windscreen may need cleaning.
If the fault persists:
  • Have the fault corrected at a qualified specialist workshop.

Thanks! Will give that a try.

Dirty windshield can cause this. I have experienced it.

well the windshield (and the rest of the car for the most part) is definitely clean. Even cleaned it some more. Still getting the warning. It looks like the nav/gps isn't working on the car at all. The nav isn't showing real time location while driving. Looks like a dealer visit is coming.

Yes, it's a connection problem. Either the car's internet connection isn't working or then there's some other issue with the navigation data, as the warning itself suggests. I've had this same thing happen once or twice but it went away by itself once I turned the car off and back on. It seems that these cars' (992 in general) connections are quite flaky sometimes for no good reason. You could try rebooting all the connections and PCM to see if that gets them working again. If they do start working, the problem should go away too....

Just an update on this, dealer had the car for last 6 days and finally responded today saying they need to replace the PCM for this issue.
