I won’t use a heat gun or hair dryer. Leave it in the sun on a warm/hot day for a couple of hours and use dental floss to “saw” it off. Clean up with some wax, not WD-40.
I actually think that the standard designation and script really work well with the car.
When I see the simplified “911” on a modern 911, it’s typically on a base Carrera — which to be clear, is entirely okay.
Or, people only need letter 'S' slap on the butt to get the extra 50hp.
Also applies to other brands, BMW / Mercedes / Audi.
Yes another thread on rear model designation options...
I'm sure I'm over-analyzing this, but I happen to like the retro look of the script used on the rear model designation. However, I'm not a huge fan of logo's everywhere on my car. As a compromise, my thinking is maybe I do the model designation in the exterior color, so its only noticeable up close. (For reference, this is an aventurine green targa 4s with carrera exclusives, and I'm spec'ing the rear sport design)
Any folks done the exterior color rear model designation?
the other option would be to do the standard silver or change to black. (or just a full delete)
Shown here in exterior color:
I first went with the exterior color option-then switched to just he "911" in body color,
but decided on the designation delete
I opted for just the '911' name. I think the script is too long and looks odd.
The only negative is that people will often get out of the car when I'm stopped in the canyons to admire the car and they'll just call it a "base 911". Doesn't bother me honestly but if that matters to you, just consider it. I prefer the simple looks of just '911'.
I opted for badge delete. My number plate when I eventually get it will indicate that I have TRI PDLS. So anyone in the know should figure out that its a 911 Carrera S

I share your preference. Understand that 99.9% of the world has no clue about the word soup of 911 models and many could not describe a "911" if you put a gun to their head.
"911" or nothing at all has a real clean look.
