Has anyone removed the rear shark fins and painted them body color? I'm looking to do this but wanted to see how you remove them first
this is a 2 years old thread yet nobody has given the proper explanation as how they’re removed, as far as I know you have to remove the rear bumper off the car to access the screws, I just removed the factory exhaust in my GTS and still it wasn’t able to access the screws and the clips that they hold the fin in place

They are clipped in. Once you pull the bumper off, you’ll be able to see how the lower diffuser, rear reflectors and the fins are clipped in. The last time I removed the bumper I didn’t take pictures of the fins specifically, but it’s all very easy to discern.
Here is a photo that shows the tabs.

@M3Inline6 are you able to remove the shark fins without removing the bumper? It looks like you can get a panel trim tool under those tabs to work them out but I could be wrong

I mean, you can, but you run the risk of snapping a tab, damaging the bumper itself, etc. Those tabs are a pain in the ***, so the safer bet is to just pull the bumper, depress the “release”, and remove them that way. The bumper takes 20 minutes to pull off [for AeroKit 992’s], so it’s not too time consuming.
Here are a few pics of the lower diffuser where the fins clip into:
