Default 992 C2 Delivered!

First if all, a big thank you to the forum members for providing such valuable insight! I am a rookie here and learned so much so fast thanks to you all.

I was debating between several versions of a 992 and also a 991.2 GTS4 that a local dealership had but just wouldn’t budge on price despite what I considered to be a competitive offer. But these are the current times…

So here we are.. 2021 C2 992. This is my first 911 and it was an absolutely amazing experience to take it out on the road for the first time. I can’t quite describe the feeling but it was a combination of joy, terror, excitement, and then pure exhilaration! I didn’t know what would happen if I push it and when I did, it is something I have never experienced from a vehicle before. It just goes and keeps going! The base engine is more than adequate and the car just reacts so well to whatever you throw at it. It is blazingly fast and corners so well. Maybe I am still in honeymoon phase but this just absolutely amazing.

I am sure I left some options out there and maybe I will prefer a 4 when the weather gets colder in NE but I sure will be enjoying this to max until then!

Congrats! is this the 992 that Porsche Westwood just got in?? You didnt order this car correct?

I bought my 992 from Westwood a week ago, and was deciding between the Gentian Blue that I purchased, and a black 992 that they had on order and were waiting for at the docks... at the time, they didnt know how long it would take to get to the dealership, so I pulled the trigger on the car I got. I liked the idea of taking delivery of the brand new one, but I got one with all the packages and color I was looking for, so was happy to pay a little extra and not have to wait.
The black on black looks great! hope to see you around, and you will certainly not get tired of the car with time... so much power and incredible engineering

I’ve been keeping a close eye on the Porsche Westwood website and in contact with sales for a 2021 992. I never even heard mention of this all black 992! Was this new or CPO? This makes me feel like I may be using the wrong resources/SA.

What about the one you pulled the trigger on @toph4242 ? Gentian Blue is also the color I’m seeking but havent seen anything available even for a short stint.

ive become very close with my guy over there, and a couple weeks ago he walked me through the full list of inventory they had on order and on its way to the dealership. This black 992 was on the list, and when he showed me he said it was sitting at the port waiting to be cleared for delivery to Westwood.
The Gentian Blue one was only listed on their website for a day or two when I found it (they had two at the same time and both sold in 2 days) one I got had been delivered a few months ago and used by the manager of the dealership. They sold it to me basically brand new and fully CPOd. Car has 2900 miles and was fully optioned out (premium package, sport chrono, sport exhaust, glass sunroof, 20/21 in Carrera classics, Bose upgrade, full xpel clear bra and ceramic coated etc. happy to put you in touch with my guy… shoot me a PM

congrats that sounds like an ideal build! Yes this was bought at westwood dealership and I essentially went there literally the hour it got there. Inventory is so low right now so I knew it wouldn’t last!

It is amazing. I have found the base exhaust to be more than adequate. It is loud (in a good way) in sports mode and you can still hear a few crackles on downshifts at low revs. I don’t need more than that.

I am planning to use this as a DD on crappy roads in and around Boston and originally found the ride very bumpy and harsh (this is PASM on C2). I had to deflate the tires to somewhere between comfort and full load pressure and the shipping blocks were finally removed… now it rides like a gem!
