Hi all, I got an allocation for an "S" and have to lock down my build later this month. I know the options I want, but when it comes to color, I'm down to two contenders: GT Silver on Bourdeaux/Blk and White on Black. I know color is a personal choice but if you've struggled between these two colors, please let me know how you came to decide one or the other. Thanks all!
IMO (and silver is my second favorite color on a car), the GT Silver for the Porsche looks dull. It’s missing something. I have a 718 Spyder on order and really wanted the GT Silver but it just doesn’t look the part. Anyway good luck with your choices.
I have the same observation about GT silver and am afraid it may look bland, but when I see one on the road under the right light it looks great! White pops but sometime may not look "special" enough. I know there's no wrong answer but would love opinions.

I have a GT silver. The 911 is a race car , every other color makes it look like if its not a race car. Thats all I needed to know for that to be the color. Everyone picking weird colors just do it to stand out which is fine, but the only true 911 color in my eyes is the gt silver. Like i would never buy a ferrari in another color but red.
There is a whole world out there beyond Black, White, and Silver. The world has enough 911s in those "colors" and yes, IMHO, very bland choices.
Guards Red is always an excellent choice. Racing Yellow is highly underrated. Gentian Blue is awesome. I get so many compliments on my Aventurine Green including "Is that a PTS color?"

to each their own. I associate brand / color. Yes i know porsches race in all different colors but history the silver was always associated with the brand. Like green with the british etc.. its not about best to me. Its how i associate them. Ferrari F1 cars were always red not blue
they are beautiful cars, just like the 992 will look amazing even in brown haha. But me personally.. unless i had a collection (i dont) i would get a red
Yes, I agree there are other great colors. I've had lava orange and carmine red in the past. However, now in my 50s and will be sharing w/ the wife, I'm playing it safe for the long run. However, if I could buy a GT3 it'd be in python green :-)
Having just taken delivery of my Gentian Blue C2S I can say it is amazing. I was concerned coming from my Midnight Blue 2008 C4S Cab that it would be too bright and purplish. But it looks dark and rich in overcast or night conditions and pops just right in the sun. Amazing color.
That said another color I seriously considered but had not seen in person and wasn't sure it would be right for me is Chalk. While White is such a classic color and can look fantastic as seen below. It is as others have said, boring white too, so why get a car like this to get a regular color like black white or silver.
nice looking white how awesome does this chalk look !! ?? rich gentian blue gentian in the sun
To be honest, Chalk was my first choice. However, I've been seeing many on the road and sometimes they look great and then sometimes not so much - all depends on the lighting...so, I crossed it off the list.

That was my concern too. But it is a good option to consider for someone looking at white. I will say that between black white and silver, white is the most appealing to me. So clean. Agate Grey can look great too. Shows off the curves of the car well without being too boring.
I always told myself that if I ever custom ordered a Porsche, it would be in GT Silver. When it came time to order my C4S coupe, I labored over color to the point of insanity. Ultimately, GT silver to me is beautiful but “safe” and didn’t evoke any emotion from me. I kept staring at the Aventurine Green metallic car at the dealership instead. And although I had (and still have) reservations about Aventurine, it was the color that kept my visual interest at the time, so I ordered it. Car arrives in 6 weeks…fingers crossed
