Same question here. I have mine scheduled for installation next week.

How complex was the installation? I'm planning to keep the factory exhaust tips, so hopefully the bumper doesn't need to come off.

Yes... they exhaust and tips are not physically connected, so you can chose to use the Akrapovic tips, which are very nice looking, or keep it looking factory with the original tips.

Hey guys,

Love Akra! Quality is always top-notch and like the tone a lot.
I’ve had Akra on my old M3 as well but that was a full setup - including link pipe and down pipes. Really loved how that sounded.

For the 992, the slip on is enough in my opinion. It’s a good balance of giving that deeper tone that’s ‘loud’ enough without sounding too obnoxious. As I’m sure you’ve researched, cold starts can be quite loud even with just the slip on. I was very tempted on doing the sport cats as well but been hearing that the 2021+ builds are a little sensitive and could trigger a CEL. Tuning would obviously be an easy fix but I don’t intend to go that route this time around. Been there, done that on the F80 M3.

Exhaust installation should be fairly simple. Autocouture did it for me but really shouldn’t take long — although I know they took out the bumper when they installed it on mine. Should just be bumper and some clamps I believe.

Here are some clips (IG)

OP- Did you have the Sport exhaust ordered on your C2S?

And how much louder would you say now with the Akra over the Sport exhaust?

Thanks

I believe this topic has been discussed in a couple of threads and I would pretty much align with the consensus there.
And yes, mine came with the Sport exhaust as well.

If you are looking to change up the tone. I would do the exhaust first. The sport cats dont do much for the stock 992 exhaust. That's like doing a stock M3 with the valves open full time. Enough to notice, but nothing drastic. But pair them with an exhaust and you get a huge multiplier on cold starts and a nice increase in overall sound once its warmed up.
In my opinion, it’s the right amount of ‘loud’ and I like the deeper tone too. The sport exhaust alone was too tame for me. I knew from the beginning that the aftermarket exhaust was a priority.
In fact, it’s one of the first things I ordered. Just came in later due to supply chain constraints.

No regrets here. You can’t go wrong with Akra.

Waiting patiently.

Your review will determine if I go that direction.

What is your Dealer charging you if you do not mind me asking?

Thanks

Late to the party--but the lizard green accents inside the car look fantastic.

Seeing the evolution of your car regarding the wheels including the original factory wheels which I believe were a 2k+ option leads me to believe you are into wheels. Bet this won't be your last set.... Super looking car!!

Your car looks fantastic! Were you not happy with the Carrera Exclusive Design wheels? I ask because I am going back and forth on them.

Thank you!
I actually like the Exclusive Design wheels (as well as the Spyder wheels)..
I just prefer aftermarket wheels since you can customize offsets.
