43. Took delivery of my 992 TTS 6 weeks ago. My first 911 was a 997 when I was 26 and bought a Boxster at 21. Many p-cars between then and now.

Weekend car is a McLaren 765LT and family duty hauler is a Taycan Turbo S.

For those that have trouble getting into and out of a car just get a Cabriolet with Smart Top and just step in and out with the top down. You just open and close the top with your fob. No trouble at all getting in and out at 82.

 

Bought my first 911 C4S for my 70th birthday last year. Third Porsche.

 

1st Porsche,C2S, on order at 58, will be 59 when it arrives (hopefully before I’m 60)! Current ride is 2014 M235i, before that, 2004 Dodge SRT4 - been upgrading 😊

 

1st TTS I've ordered at 59. 1st 911, a Carrera (930), I bought was at 29.

 

35, first Porsche and consider myself fortunate to have such a class car, C2S

came from bmw m4 before it which was also an overall great car

 

66 years old. Bought my first (2007 Base 997 with nice options) at age 50. Wanted a 911 since my first sighting of a red 911 in Ketchum, ID when I was 10 years old (1965) Waited till our children were done with college and we could pay cash. Bought our 2020 Miami Blue in 2019. Took delivery at ATL PEC 9/26/2018.

 

Age is relative as is the concept of maturity. I’m 71 and waiting on my 992 S2Cab. I grew up in Georgia and was driving at 13. My first ‘real’ car was a used Shelby Cobra 289. Sold it to pay for College and was drafted the next day.

I guess I haven’t “grown up” . When contemplating the 992 my friends suggested a Tesla or Mercedes as the alternative. One suggested a new Vette. But my response was “My friends all drive Teslas and Mercedes, I must make amends “ (Thank you Janis Joplin).
