Last time I ran 32 front and 36 back when hot. Worked pretty well.

I found 35 to be low. Worked on the 991.2.

Around 37-39 hot worked better. It may be related to the extra weight in my car (C4S) and the short track I was. Also, I upgraded the brakes, and getting temps to the tires actually became an issue.

One thing the cup tires have for them is an easier temp management.

I'm really shocked how well the stock pads hold up.
@John Mclane what pads are you running.

Ferodo 1.11 (3.12 were not available).

The car as is may tolerate the OEM brakes on a milder track. I find the OEM pads fit the 992 are softer than the prior model. I think I read somewhere that they changed the composition bc of metal load in them.

The lame track nearby is like a giant Autocross. Upgrade the tires and tune the engine and the brakes will suffer. At least the suspension is borderline acceptable for a convertible.

So far with this car I ran Thunderhill West twice, Buttonwillow and Sonoma once. California. Usually running second to fastest group. So far they help up really well, though I AM keeping my sessions shorter than 20 minutes, which I think helps a lot.

How noisy are those Ferodos on the street?

The 1.11 are less noisy than pagids, a bit more squeaky than OEM. The cold bite is not so good, so you need to learn it. They are excellent hot.

Winter pads are the DS2500. Those are phenomenal and very quiet. I would use it all year long in lieu of the OEM, even if not doing track time. For Autocross some say it's ok, too soft for heavy track use.

it really depends on the track and how hard you push it. If you get the stocks up in temp - kiss them goodbye over a weekend.

im running Ferodo 3.12’s and am completely satisfied. Advise: get familiar with your car before pushing hard, and turn off traction control. This will save 50% of your brakes.

I had the DS2500 on my M2 road and track, I really liked them.
I'm not going back to anything that's noisy so the DS2500 will be the next ones.

the stock pzeros are pretty bad
they have the cup2's in the 20/21 size now so you should just use those.
