Default 992 Key !

Anyone tried to start the 992 without the key ?is there a way to manually start the car ?

I have an issue as I am based in Singapore and this is an import vehicle and the local dealer refuses to make a key for me as I didn’t buy it from them .

anyone can help

This sounds suspicious. Any official dealer will help with ordering and programming a key if you are the legal owner & car was not illegally imported from another country. The emergency key will only manually open a locked door, you need a key fob or the dealers computers to program one.

If you have a car, don’t have any keys, and can’t clearly prove ownership, no dealer is going to make a key for you. This isn’t limited to Porsche — it’s true for every dealer.

If you have just one key and are asking them to make a duplicate key for you, not a problem at all. They’ll happily sell you one.

Sounds like you're trying to steal someones car. I can't imagine any situation where a franchised dealership would refuse to program you a key provided you are the legal owner and you are willing to pay for it.

i am not a trolling .

some answers ,

this vehicle was sold via copart uk as damaged and it didnt come with the keys.

I have the necessary documents .

Reason why i dint use the local distributor is because we only have 1 agent here and they are asking the equivalent of 8k use for adoption before even entertaining you to make a key or buy parts.

Thats crazy price no ? In the States or Uk, i am able to bring the car and the key would be made with a fee.

unfortunately Singapore agent which is called Eurokars ( Stuggart Motors ) charges a premium which is a monopoly .

I know the 991 is easily replaceable and thus my question was to ask if anyone has done so .

from my limited research , the keys are programmed with teh Body Control Module .

if all fails, i would be shipping the vehicle to the UK to get the key done which would work out cheaper than USD 8K just for adoption but i am asking if anyone else have a solution .

Since this cars have no key slot, my options are limited .

Thank you all for reading this and i do apologies for not clarifying earlier.

Only dealers would be able to help you. Try the dealer in UK where the car was purchased.
That's all I can offer.

Might be a stretch, try the prior owner. Perhaps the second key fob sits as a souvenir somewhere. Far cheaper than the other options. It should not be difficult to find that.

I needed a second key made. The dealer messed up and created the new key on the key that I arrived the car on instead the new one they ordered. When I was leaving, I asked for the second key I used and they asked "what second key?"; well, the one I used to drive here. Long story short, they needed to do it again but their communication with Germany was down. So I learned that by regular means one needs the PIWIS and a specific login to code key fobs, not all techs have it. You can re-code key fobs to different cars, up to 9 per car.
There's probably someone somewhere that can do this, it's all computers after all. Find the prior owner or even the insurance company, you might have tried it already, perhaps involve a finders fee.
