You never know but highly unlikely. I've called around quite a bit and if you are fortunate enough to get an allocation, you are likely looking at 30 to 50k+ over MSRP. Dealers are asking for $150k over for GT3s. Good luck.
I am sitting on the sidelines waiting for one of the dealers I contacted to come back to me with a 2022 C2S Cab allocation. I have spent hours on the configurator, visited and revisited configurations, checked out some actual cars and finally decided on Guards Red with black leather, deviated stitching in GR, Premium and Sport package and Exclusive Design Wheels.
And now - I am bored.
How much time has passed from placing an order demand until you actually took delivery of your customized 992?
I placed a LARGE deposit in May 2021, got an allocation over 11 months later. Not my first choice (C2S), but a GTS. Close enough. Scheduled for manufacture 17 June 2022, delivery August 2022. MSRP, no ADM.
Put $500 down in June 2020. Received 6% discount off $162K (MSRP) 2021 2CS. Cash deal, with no trade in. Allocation in December 2020. Locked January 2021. Delivered May 2021….so I waited about 11 months from when I put my deposit down.
Longest wait for me was getting the allocation, as i had no prior history with this dealership. In the end, I’m happy and the wait was worth it. In hindsight, I believe I got a good deal, with the discount as a nice bonus. But the discount was not a deal breaker. However, I would have never paid over MSRP…the car, any car, is just not that important to me to ever pay more than MSRP.
