2021 C2S in Guards Red with Aerokit (includes pictures)
I was recently asked by another forum member to provide more pictures of my 911.
Some background - I landed on a configuration and purchased in/around October 2020 and took delivery in late March 2021. I was working with a dealership, fairly local to me, in the Philly suburbs. My experience would take me back to the same sales guy and dealership in the future.
I’ve been pursuing a 911 for many years. I have always wanted my 911 in Guards Red and love the look of the GT3 car, but did not want to own one. I will rent the GT3 (RS) when I travel to Vegas from Royal Exotic - absolute beast! So one day during fall last year I went into the Porsche configuration tool to play around and I saw Porsche offered a wing via the Aerokit package. I was sold! It was the look I always wanted for “my” 911.
Now, my toughest decision came down to PDK vs MT. Renting the GT3 RS had me pretty wild about PDK. But, I wanted something that offered a different experience from my other daily drivers in the garage. I drove a Wrangler almost a decade ago, for about 2 years, that was 5 speed manual. Admittedly, I was a little nervous buying a 911 with a MT, with limited experience rowing through gears. So...I went with my gut, stepped out of my comfort zone, and bought a rear wheel drive, 7 speed manual.
I have close to 600 miles on her and have zero regrets. Recently had her PPF’d with XPEL and windows tinted with ceramic film. I don’t plan on any modifications at this point. (My current Wrangler in these pics is “Rock Lobster” color and looks remarkably close to GR, depending on the light). Enjoy, Mach3.

Beautiful car. Guards was a color I considered but I landed on Agate in the end. Aerokit shows so much better in person, I did mine in gloss black and have never had so many compliments on any sports car I have owned.
Beautiful. The Aerokit has really grown on me, though I think it was stop sale when my build was going into production in late April and so I don't think I could have optioned it in March before my freeze.
My only complaint about the Aerokit is the inclusion of the Sport Design rear fascia which I lament for the fact that it cuts the license plate in up higher, changing the sweeping curve of the rear bumper.
LOL, I know right!? If it wasn't for my two boys playing on 3 different lacrosse teams this spring, with weekend tourney's, I'd have a helluva lot more time to enjoy her. However, with the season wrapping up soon, and my regular trips back and forth to Bethany Beach, the miles will come.

Is it mostly positive attention the car receives? I drive a red Z4 now, so I am familiar with the “red sports car” attention level…. a 911 Cab likely raises that to the next level…
OP, love the spec. Well done. I had my shift boot redone with RY stitching to match exterior. Might also be a nice touch on your interior, a boot with GR thread to add a bit of color there. If you are interested in the vendor, let me know. Cheers!
