Second Service Milestone
My 992 C4S is in at Sloane Porsche in Warrington, PA for its second service (INSPECTION). Last year, I was in two months early for the mileage milestone. This year, I hit the mileage milestone three months early. So, heh, I am now five months ahead of the initial calendar dates, because I actually drive this car. With the travel on deck this summer, it will be back in by October, because I will easily put 10k more miles on it before then. I can't wait!
The dealer does photos and videos of the service work. So, if you want to see the undercarriage of a 992 C4S with 18k miles driven all year round and in all conditions (including snow, desert, gravel, dirt), here you go!

Yes, I am lucky to have this dealer about 7 minutes from my house. Given how easy it is to take pictures and video, I am surprised that more dealers don’t do it.
For those curious about the second service invoice, this was the total for my C4S. Obviously, your costs may vary by region and what your car needs beyond the regular service stuff. For a dealer, I think that is extremely reasonably. The fact that the dealer is less than 10 minutes from my house is a huge bonus. 👍

Thanks, this helped me in a strange practical way too: on Friday I collected a tire tread on the 405, couldn't avoid it and ran right over it. It took out the front splitter but no other damage, but I when looking under the front of the car I noticed the cover at the very front of the underside has a wave in it between the retaining screws so of course I wondered if that was normal or damage. But I see yours is exactly the same (2:50 in the video) so all good .

I am hoping that these Pirellis will get me through to the Fall. Then, I will put on the winters and hope that Michelin finally gives us a proper NA1 fitment by Spring. When that happens, I will replace all four of them. 🤩
The Pzeros are fine as an original equipment tire — actually exceeded my expectations given prior Pirelli experiences. I just don’t want to be the guy with a brand new set of Pirellis when the Michelin’s arrive. 🤪
