The active-cruise radar works very well on my Macan. If it's the same system as what's available on the 992, it'd be a real mistake not to order it, IMHO.

In any case, I don't leave mine turned on in a parking lot, or anywhere else other than an actual roadway. It's very easy to enable and disable with the stalk.

I have a 992 C2 Cab. I don't have ACC. Today I had the collision warning triangle come up because I was to close to a car for the speed I was travelling. No braking, but I wasn't that close when I braked myself.

I was driving yesterday, about 5 car lengths behind a box truck. We were at 45 mph and for some reason the alarm/red triangle/hard brake actuated all at the same time. Scared me actually but I can confirm that the braking was automatic. It was only for a half second but something triggered it.

I do not have acc.

No. It's funny that I had been wondering about the auto-braking too. The documentation could lead you to a yes or no answer. I can tell you the brakes came on quite sharply yesterday. You wouldn't thought a deer ran out in front of me. And then it was over.....

I’ve had a similar experience; some idiot pulled out in front of me from a side road a few months back, I swear my car briefly hit the picks without me doing anything. It released them as soon as I swerved and the idiot wasn’t in the way anymore. I don’t have ACC or LKA.

I'm thinking this is good news and a welcomed inclusion in the safety suite.

I just asked essentially the same questions in the Cayenne forum, and it linked me here - good thread. PAS is no longer in the configurator, and appears it is standard on all models Even though listed as *Warn and Brake" as opposed to PAS. Good news indeed.
