2020 Innodrive
Hey folks
I have a new TTS with innodrive. It seems to work pretty well minus one main (HUGE) issue - it seems to occasionally lose sight of one of the lane lines, and thus veer into the adjacent lane (which is obviously incredibly dangerous). The way I know it's losing sight of the lane is that the lane line on either the left or right stop being green. It also does this without any visual or audio warning to me.
Has anybody seen this? Any tricks to resolve? Anything I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

I meant until you find the time to take it to a dealer. As to why one would want that option or use it, is of course another discourse. Sorry I mentioned the obvious

Yeah, I'm not using it until I figure out what's going on. Just trying to understand if this happens to many people or is a bug with mine...

So far in my limited experience of trying Innodrive I have not had any problems with it keeping the car centered in the lane when going around curves on the freeway. I do know that the implementation in 2020 builds was inferior where it might bounce around the lanes, but in my 2021 it seems to be improved. Main irritant is the 12 second nag message to take control. Its an aid though rather than any kind of autonomy and treat it as such.

Can I ask, when it does lose a lane for you, does it usually give you a warning?

Having said that I have not yet encountered a situation where Innodrive "lost" a lane. As it nags you every 10-12 seconds to put your hands on the wheel you are still in effect actively driving and compensating for anything deviating off-course. As said, it's a driving aid and not autonomy in the sense that Tesla tries to promote.

(I used to have a Tesla (P85D) with Autopilot though that was a couple of years ago and it may have improved) The part of Innodrive that keeps you centered in the lane is ALK (Active Lane Keeping with the steering wheel icon/indicator) which compliments LKA. (Lane Keep Assist with the "car between two lines" icon/indicator) I know it's confusing. LKA will issue a lane departure warning if you are not using the turn indicator. If you use the turn indicator, no warning is issued. It's not like Tesla Autopilot where if you use the turn indicator it will move the car to the next lane for you.

I may have the dealer look at it
Thanks!
Generally, its a bit over-complicated compared to other systems. (Starting with the acronyms)
