When I help my clients with interior design for their homes, silver/grey and tan is not a combo that is ever used in home decor. Generally browns are an earth tones that warms up the environment, silver and greys are cool tones. Usually we use either warms or cools but not both in combination.

I’ve seen some absolutely stunning silver cars with tan leather, and I’m not just talking recent stuff like 991.2 Speedsters or 718 Spyders with Classic package. If you look at some vintage 356 cars, in classic silver over tan, they are amazing. I would totally do GT silver over Atacama Beige. Mojave beige, not so much. I would do Mojave Beige with Agate Grey, Carrera White, Black, Night Blue, etc.

Earlier campaign/advertisement featured silver over truffle brown so I wouldn’t agree with this statement.

I've owned two silver - tan int. 911s.
Best color combo in my opinion. The tan does tame the interior, makes it seem more elegant than black,
but less 'race car', if that makes sense.

I wish Agave looked as deep green as it does in that pic a few posts above... I was super disappointed when I saw it in real life... it was basically grey with a green-ish tint to it. If it looked like that pic it would be a no brainer. Its a nice interior but I really wish it was more green.

Default I went plain black with GT silver

Wanted to keep the interior fairly low key - went black leather (no contrast stitching) / paldao wood / 360 leather / Burmester and leather seat backs. By going plain black the wood and the Burmester grills really pop.

I also went special wheels with satin back on exterior with the black shark fin.

^ I'm a big fan of interiors (standard or leather) WITHOUT contrast stitching. Standard stitching is actually more a silver/charcoal, and does provide a bit of contrast. Very elegant looking IMO.

Yes - the stitching itself has plenty of contrast. Of my build by far my favorite part is the wood trim... It adds this cool mid-century modern / Swedish design aesthetic to the interior. I have NEVER been a fan of wood in cars and thought for sure I would be more in the CF or Aluminum camp - but the wood just works so well.

this is the first time I’ve seen black and paladao trim. Really does pop against the black. Dammit you just added $1200 to my build

Here are some more wood / black images for you.... It has these very nice black notes in the wood that work really well with the leather.

Brown goes fine with GT silver metallic as it has flakes of gold in it. The only problem is the current tan interior that is offered on the 992 is too bland and light. If you look at the interior of the speedster picture that’s a true cognac which goes beautiful with the GT silver. My 991 was brown over cognac and was gorgeous. You could even do truffle brown with GT silver.

because I don’t think the current 10 offering goes well I went with black over Bordell for my GT silver TT.

Silver over Mojave Beige works actually.... though Truffle Brown really pops with GT Silver in IMHO

I test drove a silver C4S with truffle interior, and I thought it looked great! I snapped a couple of photos, but unfortunately you can’t see the interior through the windows. Here you go anyway.

Personally, I’m a black/beige fan. However, with a silver exterior, I’d definitely go for the darker brown. The silver/brown contrast works very nicely. If you’re getting a convertible, I also think the brown top looks great with the brown interior. I’ve seen that before in person, and it was very nice.

My take is that Agate with biege works. Silver with beige, not so much. I feel like its akin to wear a light suit.......you need contrast
