I read also that some Porsches were recently shipped without TPMS due to the shortage and will be fitted at the port when parts arrive there. My 2021 C2S completed production on 4/22 and was at the port of Emden a day later. But the car is not scheduled to ship until May 14 so I may be affected by the TPMS issue as that seems a long time to wait for a ship. Date due at the dealer is shown on TYD as June 6 and that is almost a week earlier than the original date. |

My C2S is on the Rcc Classic as well. Let's hope they don't sit at the Baltimore port too long.

RCC Classic expected in port at 4 pm per latest update.

I've heard that until September (for now) power seats remain available but without the memory package. Anyone have any idea if the memory package could also be retrofitted similar to the power steering wheel adjustment mentioned above?

Bishu Highway at Emden Port
It looks like my C2s will be loaded on the Bishu Highway vessel soon, destination Jacksonville Fl.
Anyone else on this trip ? |

Mine went into production early on May 4th (from May 7th) and was supposed to finish May 14th. Yesterday all heck broke loose and TYD now says it wont finish until June 11th! Over a month in production. Ugh. I spoke to my SA in Manhattan and he said the delays are very real. I do hope mine re-adjusts up, but not hopeful. But why push up production just to have it sit midway?

My C2S just entered port processing yesterday in Davisville, on time. While on the ship Porsche backed up the estimated delivery date from 5/14 to 6/11 in TYD, so will keep everyone posted.

Porsche has been trying for weeks to fix the TYD site for me as I couldn't access it at all.
Today success! My C2 is aboard the Siem Confucius. ETA at the dealer is in 10 days_May 28th. We'll see how accurate that is as my SA informed me a few weeks ago that it would arrive June 14th. Sent him an email to see if he has any updated info to corroborate the new ETA. My build locked 9 days earlier than expected so that might have something to do with it. I did get a pic of the car which is also now my avatar. Here's the pic: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...8b4aa54ff8.jpg |

I'm seeing what you're seeing XLR82XS. The date the SC docks in Jacksonville is May 28th. It looks like June 14th, as my SA originally told me, is the likely dealer ETA. Interesting that the TYD shows this:

any RCC classic updates?
|
It appears RCC Classic is currently moored in Baltimore. It was in Sparrows Point yesterday which is just up the channel from Baltimore. Not sure why it seemed held in Sparrows Point but the web site shows it’s moored in port.
No idea if their updates are accurate. Will check with my SA tomorrow and see if the Porsche system has an update. |
[QUOTE=gcurnew;17422151]Chip shortage may be more serious than initially thought. Got this letter today from local Ford dealer (test drove an F-150 5 years ago and they'll NEVER let me forget it).
There's a saying in the car business.... keep nagging the customer until they buy or die :-) |
I have a Targa 4 2022 allocation, with an estimated delivery date of 9/3/2021 at PEC-LA. I just changed my configuration -- from Aventurine Green to Shark Blue. Now, on Track Your Dream, the date has switched to "Delivery Date Pending." I'm still at Phase 2 -- "vehicle scheduled for production." My salesman said that the message on his end is the same as before, which is "delivery determined." He thinks the TYD is just re-calibrating because of the new build, although he did note that Shark Blue is new and there may be supply issues with that color.
Is anyone else in this same situation or can someone posit an opinion? https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...68f0d20041.png |
