Does anyone who has a close tie with (or is an employee of) a Porsche dealer have good info as to when allocations are given by Porsche to their dealers? Last month the first allocations for '22 models were given at the end of March. Are allocations only given once at the end of every month or do they trickle in throughout the month? I am awaiting an allocation for a '22 Targa 4S that I want to do an ED pick up in October, if possible. With the news yesterday that the EU is moving towards allowing Americans to travel in Europe, if they are vaccinated, is very positive and makes a fall ED delivery look more possible. My understanding is that ED cars do not count against a dealers normal allocations, so how does Porsche dole out ED allocations? Can anyone help me understand the Porsche allocation system better?

From what I’m hearing the next allocation group will be released first or second week of May. As far as what each dealer is getting, I’m not sure they will know until they receive their allocation list.

ED orders come from a dealers normal allocation but they get an extra allocation for every ED order processed. Which means the dealer needs an available allocation first to place the order.

I’m working on it as well but, they came back and they want $25,000 ADM just like the GT3. I laughed and they said they would see what they could do. Are you guys getting hit with that as well?

I was fortunate to find an out of state dealer that I have done business with before that was able to offer me a Targa 4S at retail. I contacted local dealers in S Florida and most wanted an ADM and most dealers had at least a year waiting list.

My new dealership in Philly, Main Line Porsche, is a Porsche award winning dealership annually. They have only received two T4S allocations so far... but now I am two closer. lol.

I was on the lists and got allocations from 2 dealers in LA... one wanted 10k adm the other wanted 15k... crazy for a targa, won't do it.
On the ED front, currently PORSCHE has cancelled the program from the US (my original goal was a late september targa ED) so even if the EU opens up I bet it'll take time for the program to get back up and running. I wasn't optimistic it could happen so I backed out and may try for a spring allocation next year to pick up in Germany in May.
