Default PDK rubbish moat

My 992 is en route to Benicia, CA and I'm starting to load up on day-1 solutions for problems I'm not even sure I'll have. One of the things a few YouTube-reviewers mentioned was the potential for garbage and grime to collect in the moat underneath the PDK drive mode selector. (I have tried searching for this but "moat" didn't turn up anything related. Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere.)
  1. Is this actually a problem? My intuition and experience with other Porsches says: yes, this will get full of dust and grit.
  2. How have others addressed it? Are there 3D printed designs to fill this in? Does someone know of a 3rd party silicon sleeve or something else to fill in the moat? Carbon fiber clip-in?

Cheers,

Small microfiber towel & pull it through. Takes 10 seconds. Haven’t had any build up. Non-issue.

I dunno, it does seem as though it could prove useful. Like the underside of that desk in public school; a repository for used chewing gum.

Cheers,
Took delivery of my 992 at the end of September 2019 and have almost 17k miles on the car. Nothing accumulates in that space. I haven't dropped a fry there yet. :P
I use a microfiber cloth and detailer to clear out the dust when I am tidying things up. As a design feature, I think that it's visually pleasing and consistent with the other floating design elements like the steering wheel controls.

Thanks everyone for the input. Good to hear that it's better in practice than theory.
