Default Can Rain-X be used on the noise reducing windshield?

I thought I read somewhere here that it results in screeching with the wipers.

I have the lightweight windshield and had my detailer add Glassparency, a ceramic coating, to my windshield and I get some mild screeching/skipping from the wipers in light rain that wasn't there before I got the coating. It seems less noticeable in heavier rain. The screeching has dissipated a bit over time as well. Not sure if Rain-X would behave the same way but thought I'd share a data point.

I would wait until the you really need to re-coat the windshield. This from the owners manual

Use Aquapel. No need for wipers.

But what about the big rear window and the windshield?

As long as I am driving fast enough and it's not "Florida" rain, I don't need the wipers. It beads like a **** and races off of the windshield. My windshield is ceramic coated.

RainX is painful. Your windshield will never seem clean again, no matter how much you wash it. Avoid.
