992 Base car quantities
Is it just me or are there more base model cars for the 992 generation than there were in previous generation models?
I personally find the appearance and performance of the base cars better than ever before.
I could also be totally off base from the numbers, which i'm sure someone has.

In my neck of the woods, I've noticed more S cars than Base cars. I suspect that limiting the manual transmission to the S provided a boost to the higher trim cars. I'm here in Southeastern Pennsylvania which is very much Porsche Country. For example, I'm not even the only Aventurine Green Carrera S/4S owner in my two square mile town.
With that being said, the Base cars are so quick, that I wouldn't be surprised if they make up a bigger % of 992s than they did in the 991 generation. Outside of limited editions, the Carrera 4 (Base) will likely remain the rarest 992. Sales numbers show that pretty clearly. So, if you're a Carrera 4 owner, feel free to raise your glass.
The GT3 and GT2 models cars made up 40% of the 991s sold. Given that Porsche will now make as many GT cars as they can sell, you can expect to see that percentage grow for the 992 generation.

Not sure if hey sold more S or the Base for the 992 generation but for the 991.2, the Base out sold the "S" by about 2:1 margin.
In 2017 (991.2), 1330 base C2 sold vs 769 C2S sold
In 2018 (from January to August), 683 base C2 sold vs 377 C2S sold.

Remember, the S/4S were out a year prior to the base and so numbers currently skew in favor of the S/4S but in general the base sells significantly more than the S as the model years evolve
