PSE worth the price difference?

I also went full leather and Sport Chrono on my build. After watching vids of base Carrera’s with base exhausts, I thought they sounded good. And the aftermarket will open up for the base car. I’d rather get sport cats than the PSE. At least with the cats, you’ll get a performance bump.
Not there. Improved sound / pronounced turbo whirl but that’s it.

LOL. I'm 5'11" and 215lbs with 36" waist, so fairly lean. That being said, I sat in both the standard Sport and then the Sport Plus seats, and the standard seats were much more comfortable around the shoulders. I didn't feel constrained. The 911 with standard Sport seats feels much more comfortable than my old GT350R with the Recaros.

I been reading about PSE but I can’t really figure one thing out. So here I am asking… I have a base 991.2 with four exhaust pipes. I am thinking the exhaust sound is lame compared to my previously NA 991.1. I am reading about the PSE but I cannot tell if I have to replace my exhaust or just have the dealer install the PSE. And will the sound be a bit better than what I currently have?
would be grateful to get someone to answer and let me know. Going to Porsche of Arlington to ask is pointless. Sadly they seem not to know much… or maybe I just dealt with two of their mechanics who didn’t know much.
thanks

I too struggled with this decision but with the Turbo engines, PSE makes a big difference in the way the vehicle sounds. The standard exhaust sounds good but PSE takes it further and adds more character.

Not correct, have had several 991's and 992s - does not hurt the resale as much as some of the other options. Not that it will not help a little, but I do not think it equals what it costs when thinking resale vs other key options people look for (seats, color, PDK or MT, sports chrono, etc.)

Have your dealer activate PSE on your non-PSE 992. I had this done and it is ~80% the sound of a PSE and takes them 2 minutes to do. I posted a few threads on this, and there is instructions on how the dealer can do this. And you keep the quad pipes which I think looks better.
