Default Weird Throttle Blip on manual c2s

I have had my c2s for about one and a half months now and it is an unbelievable car, already 1,000 miles deep. However, I've come to notice that when going from 1st to 2nd gear and my foot is off the gas it will rev/sound like revving to redline for a split second. It's almost as if the auto rev match is glitching out when upshifting. Has anyone heard or had this happen to them?

Can’t say I’ve herd anything like that, I’m at 4300 miles.

The only time it should do that is if you are down shifting. By chance do you notice it when going from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th. Reason why I ask, if you shift to those and come close to going into a lower gear, it will rev to match as it will think you are going to the lower gear. (AKA mis-shift). The gearing is electronically controlled not manual shift gate, so if it thinks you are going to downshift/mis-shift it will rev.

Hard to explain, but the only time it will rev like that on my manual, is if I am going from one of those mid gears to a higher and almost mis-shift to a lower.

Nope. Never had the car blip the throttle on upshifts. At 3800 miles in my C2S Coupe manual. Only thing I have noticed is sometimes rev match doesn’t blip throttle on downshifts and yes, in sport or sport +. Not sure why. Don’t care. I’d turn it off anyway.

You get that too? I've had it a couple of times, once going to normal and back 'fixed' it, another time I needed to shutdown and restart. But yeah, it was nice to have it off

At first, I thought it maybe just didn’t blip when it was cold outside, in the 30s thinking that maybe Porsche thought of people slowing their car in wet/freezing/slippery conditions with downshifting and not braking. Nope. Sometimes doesn’t work even when it’s 60+ degrees, sunny and roads dry. LOL.

Lol! I'm in SoCal, I doubt my car has seen <40 since leaving Germany. Must admit I am guilty of PSM off on occasions.

The rev matching on the 992 doesn’t work as good as it did my GT 4.You need to downshift really quick otherwise the RPMs drop off. The timing just isn’t quite right .I think it’s something to do with the difference in the throttle response versus a normally aspirated.carl

I turn off PSM to defeat the rev match.
