Car got a chip in the screen on its visit to the dealer

I'm curious to know if replacement lightweight noise insulated glass is more challenging to obtain.
Because windshield damage is a fact of life.
Here's what I wound up dealing with on one of my previous 911s - it clearly required a full OEM replacement (and I can recommend Euroglass if you're in the Seattle area).

DP got in contact overnight, calling Tuesday to arrange a visit here to look at the car. He lives around the corner so not exactly out of his way.
See what he comes up with, but it’s the honesty factor that I hate most. It will have happened whilst being driven, own up atriaght away and we come to an agreement, free service or something as the screen will only get more chips.
On the paintwork, I have a friendly detailer who can probably sort it after that very crappy wash it got.
