Default How do modes differ if I’m driving in manual mode?

Been wondering this for a while. With PDK I start driving with the paddles in manual mode.

Once I do that, does it make a difference if I’m in Normal, Sport, or Sport plus? Other than the PSE valves or the burbles and pops, is there any other difference between these modes once I’m in control of the gearing?

Thanks, but I guess it was never clear to me whether there is any reason to switch modes if you’re driving in manual

Is there anything else that changes?

Throttle sensitivity and suspension change between modes (which would be unrelated to manually shifting gears with paddles). I don’t believe there’s any change to steering feel but that is something that does occur in my baby AMG between driving modes ...

^ I think the only suspension change takes place at S+ unless I’m mistaken.

And of course, burbles and pops at Sport mode

Otherwise, throttle sensitivity....as purported I guess?

Anyone know if that is pretty much the only difference, then?

have not had my car for long, but in other cars , the speed of the shift varies depending on the mode .

Correct on the sport versus sport plus differences. All I can say is my 992 Targa 4 without sport chrono did not feel like there was any throttle sensitity difference between the two modes ... my 981 B with apart chrono had a noticeable difference and (both manual cars). I’m glad the 992 includes sport chrono with manual cars !

Here's a recap from the manual pg. 105/6

The only edit i think it needs is that Launch Control can in fact be activated in Sport only mode - why the manual says it cannot is probably a typo

So if I want to try launch control, I need to be in sport plus? Do I leave traction control on?

Here...check out this YT @ approximately 4min50 - they do a Launch in Sport Mode (spoilers do not deploy, eliminating potential drag, as they would in SportPlus) and then use the sport response button to raise the rpms to 5000 to assist in getting a faster launch

I believe the PDK shifts a little harder (firmer) in Sport and a little more so in Sport Plus.

Alright, you’re finally about to do a launch? Go for it! Make a video of it and post it
