To each their own taste but for me noooo thank you…

it’s amazing how a few small details change the look of the car drastically!

The package in gloss black doesn't render for me in the Porsche Canada configurator on a 911 Turbo S. Still nice to see they've improved it.

I almost configured that but changed my mind a few days before my freeze date. After seeing that rear end, I'm happy I didn't. It really looks awful. But, I'm sure some will like it. Spec the way YOU want it.

No question that the front is stronger than the back. As a matter of fact, I like the front better than the much more expensive Sport Design Package's front. I think that the back is better in some colors than others. Looks good in Guards Red imo.

Its a bit weird at first, but I think I kind of like it...

Looks better with the quad exhausts IMO

The Carrera is really the best looking car Porsche makes right now IMO. But I still prefer the SD front fascia:

A little bump up on this thread in case somebody has any real pics. So I ordered this for my Carrera White Metallic as I really like the front better than the Sport Design Package. I also like the rear as the flat black lower valance is a bit played out to me, seems to be on most cars these days, Kia Stinger, Honda Civic SI, BMW's etc. Again, that is what is nice about these cars, we can each make them a bit different. I also like the full painted mirrors and the painted sport side skirts that are required with this option. Color is critical to this option to me, really like it on White, Yellow and Guards Red. I am old so YMMV.

red calipers should have red tail lights, its a simple detail that ties the car together better.... but otherwise the extra blue looks ok on the back, side skirts maybe a bit much but its not bad, im not a fan of painted front as it gets rid of the 992s face (its a different look)

Reviving an old thread. I'm specing out my next allocation a 992 Cabriolet in Gentian Blue. Thinking about adding the Exterior Package Painted. I'm trying to get some real time pic's on this package. Thank you in advance.

TARGA 2022 4 GTS exterior package in chalk. GT3 side skirts painted glossy black to match. Black package definitely looks better on lighter cars. I personally like he contrast and would not paint the exterior package to match the car.

Hope this helps with your decision.

Definitely like the gloss black. But to get that package I would have to go Sport Design Gloss Black which is $6680, the exterior painted package $1220.

I think it goes better with dark colors as lighter colors show the contrast not shown in darker colors. The Gentian blue posted earlier looks great without the black.

I am sure others will have "contrasting" views......

The package looks good in some colours and not others. However, before you get too excited, check with the dealer if this option is available. I orderded my Guards Red C2 with painted exterior package painted, but there was a stop sale. My guess it could have been to production delays at that time. But best check first.

IMO, it is a good option for PTS cars, darker cars and bright colours. I would avoid it for silvers, greys, etc. Just IMO

Agree, goes nicely on Gentian Blue. I do like the flow of the bottom of the car with the painted side skirts and matching bottom bumpers. I also opted for the Exclusive design rims with inserts painted Gentian Blue.
